Follow this step by step guide to build your first hoop house to protect your garden and extend your growing period.
Materials Needed (Available at your local hardware store):
1 Box Clear Poly 5ml
1 8' Section Heavy Duty Chicken Wire Grid
Staple Gun & Staples
Box of 1' Wooden Garden Stakes
1 Hammer
1. Place 2 -3 stakes on each side of your garden bed you are looking to cover
2. Place the chicken wire length wise along your garden bed
3. Bend over the chicken wire to the other side of the garden bed (you may want a friend for this)
4. Staple the wire to the stakes
5. Spread the clear poly over the frame you have built
6. Cut with 6" on either side beyond the base of the frame
7. Tuck plastic under the frame and staple into your garden bed
